I4C Journalists Workshop

Innovate4Climate (I4C), under the auspices of the World Bank Group, stands as an annual worldwide gathering dedicated to the domains of climate finance, climate investment, and climate markets. In the last three editions of this prestigious event, I4C has formed a strategic partnership with AMWAJ to design and facilitate the I4C Journalists Workshop.

The I4C Journalists Workshop has been meticulously designed to offer media professionals a unique platform for honing their skills in climate reporting and content creation, all harmoniously aligned with the overarching themes of the conference. This training opportunity equips journalists from across the globe with the knowledge and tools to craft climate narratives that seamlessly integrate financial solutions with the multifaceted environmental, human, and socioeconomic dimensions of the climate crisis.

About Innovate4Climate

In the last three editions of the I4C Journalists Workshop, AMWAJ has played a prominent role in selecting participants and shaping the course curriculum, collaborating closely with the I4C team. Notably, the 2022 edition of the workshop brought together journalists and media experts who either hailed from or reported on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. They were joined by technical specialists who shared the common objective of delving deep into the intricacies of carbon markets and carbon pricing. The primary aim of this training was to empower journalists as they prepared for in-depth coverage of COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. In 2023, the I4C conference took place in Bilbao, Spain, and the AMWAJ team led the design and facilitation of the workshop in a hybrid format.
